Come mothing with us as we join hundreds of other locations internationally in observing and recording local moth diversity as part of National Moth Week! Held worldwide, the week (July 18-26) celebrates the beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths. Moth-ers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to learn about, observe, and document moths in their backyards, parks, and neighborhoods.
On Friday, July 24, join us for an all-ages, after-dark mothing event at our Santa Rita Ranch Lake House! Bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy on the house’s deck as the sun goes down. Get ready for the evening’s main event by learning about these amazing insects and how to use iNaturalist to share your observations of them and other organisms. Then the fun really begins as we wait for what appears after dark . . .
