Ways to give
Donate Now
Your generosity makes a difference!
Your tax-deductible donation will be used today to continue our efforts to conserve the local farms, ranches and open spaces that make San Luis Obispo County such a special place to live, work and play. Your gift today will further children’s nature education in local public schools, outdoor recreation access in underserved communities, and habitat restoration projects from Nipomo to Paso Robles.
Gift Memberships: Give the gift of conservation! Simply fill out the donation form with your own information, and include your gift recipient’s name, email and mailing address in the comment section. They will receive an informational packet informing them of your gift (but not the exact donation amount) and their new membership benefits! For more information about gift memberships, email info@lcslo.org.

Donate now online and then notify info@lcslo.org that you are making a donation for a gift recipient. Better yet, donate in person at our San Luis Obispo office and pick out a Land Conservancy hat, t-shirt or water bottle to give with your gift!
Dedicate a “Leaf” at the Pismo Preserve
If you’ve visited the Pismo Preserve trails, you have no doubt seen our “Wall of Trailblazers” celebrating those who have made the conservation and ongoing stewardship of this central coast gem possible. With any donation of $1,000 or more to the Pismo Preserve fund, you too can make your mark.
Celebrate a special event or occasion with a gift that forever protects local lands. Your donation is a thoughtful way to commemorate milestones and will surely be appreciated by the recipient. With your donation, send your desired inscription up to 80 characters in the “Notes” field. Leaves are ordered and installed roughly every three months. You will be notified when your leaf is ready for viewing!
Consider using your leaf inscription to celebrate a:
- wedding
- birthday
- new baby
- retirement
- graduation
- anniversary
- bar/bat mitzvah
- memorialize a loved one
Gifts of Stock
There are many tax benefits to giving stock or other securities such as bonds or mutual funds to The Land Conservancy. If you have held your stock for more than one year and it is now worth more than you paid for it (appreciated), you could receive a greater tax benefit than if you had given cash.
Fill out this form to inform us of a stock transfer. Email info@lcslo.org for more information.
