Join us for our fourth annual World Snake Day event on Friday 7/7 at 4pm at the Pismo Preserve. Central Coast Snake Services’ Emily Taylor will be set up at “the knoll” (see trail map) educating Pismo Preserve visitors about several species of native snakes, including the Pacific rattlesnake.
Several non-venomous species will be held and shown throughout the evening with educational events.
A live showing of a Pacific rattlesnake and discussion about safety around rattlesnakes will take place at 5:30pm.
The World Snake Day event was founded with the goal to create conversations around snakes and their importance in our ecosystems and open spaces.
