Saturday February 28, 9:30 to 11:30 am
Event in partnership with CNPS SLO
On this hike to Three Bridges Oak Preserve in Atascadero, Zarah Wyly, Program Manager for Learning Among the Oaks a program of The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County and Oak Tree Lover extraordinaire, will join us to talk about the 6 kinds of oaks at this preserve. Subjects may include: the keystone place of oaks, their health, how to identify them, and more. The hike is an easy loop with the option of going up the ’tail’ to where the canyon live oaks (Quercus chrysolepis) live. This sketching hike is aimed at 5-10 year olds, but all are welcome. Art materials are provided and you can take your sketchbook home.
