Joan has lived on the Central Coast since 1977. She started with Pacific Bell as a long distance operator. After the break up of Ma Bell, she started working at Call America where she met her husband, Jeff. They married at the beautiful Mission in downtown San Luis Obispo. They lived together in Shell Beach before moving to a cattle ranch, where Joan somehow ended up with the title of ranch manager. Today, Joan takes care of day to day operations of 55-60 cow/calf pairs.
Joan has many volunteer hours at Bellevue Santa Fe Charter School and SLO High while her 2 children were growing up. She has since added a wonderful daughter in law and 2 grandchildren to her family, and who are a big part of her life.
Jeff and Joan are also proud and grateful to have a conservation easement with The Land Conservancy on their family ranch.
