Erik Justesen is a Landscape Architect and Urban Planner with RRM Design Group, where he served as President and CEO from 2006 to 2025. Throughout his career, Erik has been dedicated to creating vibrant, sustainable communities and stewarding the natural and built environments that make the Central Coast such a special place to live.
A longtime community volunteer and advocate, Erik has served on the boards of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, the Channel Islands YMCA, and the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County, in addition to contributing to numerous community initiatives over the past two decades. His commitment to service reflects a deep belief in the power of strong, connected communities.
Erik’s passion for conservation began at an early age through his love of the outdoors and continues today through his dedication to protecting the Central Coast’s extraordinary landscapes and natural resources. He is equally committed to advancing the well-being of local residents by supporting efforts related to housing, food security, health, recreation, and equitable access to opportunity.
Whether advocating for environmental stewardship or helping address critical community needs, Erik is driven by a vision of a more inclusive, compassionate, and resilient future for all who call San Luis Obispo County home.
