Join The Land Conservancy of SLO County at the Pismo Preserve for a hike and exploration of local biodiversity.
California is one of the world’s most biodiverse locations! But what does that mean? Our state has an incredibily high variety of living species (plants, birds, mammals, insects, and more), many of which can only be found here. International Biodiversity Day highlights how humans and nature are connected and how we can sustainablily coexist.
To celebrate, we will be hiking the Spring to Spring trail at the Pismo Preserve (3.4 miles, trail map) and introducing tools that anyone can use to explore biodiversity in their community. Some of these tools include iNaturalist, Seek, eBird, Merlin Bird ID, and more.
More information will be sent out before the event for parking information and what to bring.
