The Restoration Ecologist assists in planning and implementing
The Land Conservancy’s restoration projects and land stewardship projects.
Projects include wetland and riparian restoration, rangeland enhancement, dune
restoration and invasive plant management and monitoring. The Restoration
Ecologist works under supervision and direction from the Restoration Program
Manager and works in close collaboration with all stewardship staff.
Request for Proposals: Scientific Illustrator – Student, Contract
The 880-acre Pismo Preserve opened to the public in January 2020. Interpretive signage for this property will increase community awareness of restoration and stewardship efforts in SLO County, the importance of native wildlife, our efforts to save rare and endangered plants, and the cultural history of the Pismo Preserve going back to indigenous tribes.
The chosen artist is asked to provide 24 illustrations of native plants and animals for interpretive panels to be displayed throughout the Pismo Preserve trail system.
The artist must be able to share high resolution scanned images of their artwork to be incorporated with interpretive text and printed on permanent installations at the Pismo Preserve
Proposal review will begin March 1.
