World Snake Day

Join us for our fifth annual World Snake Day event on Tuesday, July 16th at 4pm at the Pismo Preserve. Central Coast Snake Services’ Emily Taylor will be set up at “the knoll” (see trail map) educating visitors about several species of native snakes, including the Pacific rattlesnake.

Several non-venomous species will be held and shown throughout the evening, with a live showing of the Pacific rattlesnake and discussion about rattlesnake safety at 5:30pm.

The World Snake Day event was founded with the goal to create conversations around snakes and their importance in our ecosystems and open spaces.
