Description: In early 2010, The Land Conservancy partnered with the City of Paso Robles to successfully purchase 154 acres of land along the Salinas River as part of the city’s Salinas River Parkway project which spans 4 miles of riverfront. The Land Conservancy wrote a land management plan for the 154-acre property which calls for the city to identify sensitive species, degraded areas and issues that affect water quality and to consider these sensitive areas before planning new trails. The plan also suggests engaging volunteers and educating the community about protecting the river’s natural resources.
