Finance Director – Full Time

The Finance Director performs professional non-profit accounting functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including preparation of monthly financial reports, grant expense and net assets tracking, annual budget preparation; management of the annual independent audit and tax filings; and performance of related work as required. The Finance Director overseas the day-to-day financial functions of the organization, including ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and deposits.

Conservation Project Manager – Full Time

The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County is pleased to announce a job opening for the position of Conservation Project Manager in our land program. The Conservation Project Manager will be responsible for land conservation project development, grant writing and project funding development, conservation easement drafting, baseline documentation reports, land stewardship / management plans, conservation easement monitoring assistance, and on-going landowner and government relations.  The Conservation Project Manager will also become familiar with The Land Conservancy’s Strategic Goals and Land Trust Alliance (LTA) Standards and Practices. The Conservation Project Manager is also part of The Land Conservancy accreditation project team working towards LTA Accreditation renewal in 2024 and subsequent accreditation renewals

Venue Manager – Octagon Barn Center

The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County is pleased to announce a job opening for the position of Venue Manager-Octagon Barn Center. The Venue Manager interacts directly with inquiring members of the public including private and corporate clients for the purpose of securing and overseeing successful events at the Octagon Barn Center, from initial inquiry, through to the execution of each event. These inquiries may include but are not limited to weddings, corporate meetings, fundraising galas, family and holiday celebrations, community events. Oak Education School Site Coordinator – Full Time

The Oak Education School Site Coordinator supports the Learning Among the Oaks Manager in maintaining and administering the day-to-day operations of The Land Conservancy. The Oak Education School Site Coordinator responsibilities are to: (1) Prepare and deliver school based oak nature hikes; (2) work effectively with school administrators; (3) keep parents informed and promote family participation; (4) Maintain inventory and educational resources; (5) handle light duty stewardship jobs for native landscapes; (6) provide own transportation to LATO school sites; (7) raise LCSLO/LATO visibility and promote support and well-being; (8) Work closely with the Oak Education Manager to ensure accurate and efficient systems are in place to effectively track complex organizational policy and procedures.
