Restoration Specialist I

The Restoration Specialist I position is a seasonal (6-Months, temporary), full time position as a part of The Land Conservancy’s Restoration Team that is an integral part of the on-the-ground implementation of restoration and stewardship projects.  Restoration Specialist duties include invasive plant management utilizing herbicide, land stewardship and maintenance, native plantings and maintenance, and other tasks as directed. Internship Opportunities

Restoration Steward Intern (currently filled)

Position Type: Non-paid; Academic credit possible
8-16 hours/wk (adjustable)

Summary: This internship will serve the Restoration Program of The Land Conservancy. The intern will be responsible for on-the-ground stewardship and maintenance of LCSLO restoration sites and properties including invasive species removal, irrigation and planting. This position will assist volunteers during volunteer work days, as well as miscellaneous tasks related to volunteer restoration projects, as appropriate.


Media Intern (currently filled)

Position Type: Non-paid; Academic credit possible
4-8 hours/wk (adjustable)

Summary: This internship will support The Land Conservancy’s outreach and communications efforts. The intern is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and recommending improvements for news coverage, social media applications and website functions. This position will support the Development Program by improving efficiency and effectiveness in media communications.
