Join Land Conservancy ecologist Lindsey Roddick on an educational walk at Black Lake Ecological Area, one of the beautiful natural lakes in the Guadalupe Nipomo Dunes Complex. This walk will circle the Black Lake Ecological Area, passing through eucalyptus groves and coastal dune scrub. Enjoy stunning views that extend across the dunes to the Pacific Ocean while exploring the spring blooms of the coastal dunes in this ecologically diverse area.
The hike will traverse rolling sandy dunes and sturdy shoes are a must. Please bring water, sunscreen and snacks if so desired. The hike is 2 miles round trip and you will be back in the parking area at or before noon.
