Join Stewardship Associate Judith Hildinger and landowner Jerry Olivera on the recently conserved Alamo Ranch for a strenuous 5 mile hike into the backcountry of the Alamo Creek watershed. We will hike on rough trails and ranch roads to the Deer Trail Mine. There will be a 1000′ elevation gain.
The Alamo Ranch is located just outside Santa Maria. Parking directions will be provided in your confirmation email and we ask that you meet at the parking area by 8:30 am. One we drive onto the ranch the hike should begin by 9 am.
Level: Strenuous, Experienced hikers only.
Bring: Lunch, water, sunscreen, hat, hiking boots, and appropriate hiking clothing
Prepare: There may be ticks, poison oak, and rattlesnakes. No cell phone service.
