Pismo Preserve Docent-Led Equestrian Ride

April 27, 2018 - 10:00 - 2:30

Please Note:

The Pismo Preserve is steep (800′ elevation gain in a mile), and has steep, narrow windy trails with exposure. Your horse (or mule) needs to be an experienced mountain horse that is in good condition and will stay on the trail. No stallions, no inexperienced or unconditioned trail horses, no “ponying”.

Be ready to ride at 10:30 am. The gates will open at 10:00 am and be locked before the ride starts.  Please share your trailer if possible and please do not arrive before 10:00am.

**NEW** Riders on this day will have the option to ride with a group led by a docent, or to ride on their own, or with their own small group. This accommodation is being made because we know that some horses do better on their own, or in smaller groups. We ask that all riders attending still arrive at the ride start time (10:30 am) and be in the parking lot prepared to exit the Preserve by 2:30 pm. The gates will be closed and locked once the ride starts.

Helmets are required.

Please bring a lunch, water for you and your horse, a tie rope, and a manure fork to help clean the parking lot.
