Dave is a native Californian who was raised in Los Angeles and escaped to the Central Coast in the 1980s. He has always enjoyed the outdoors, and has hiked in many beautiful places around the world. For Dave, being in San Luis with its wide open spaces and plentiful hiking trails is like living in heaven, and he has always appreciated the work of the Land Conservancy to preserve and protect what makes the Central Coast so special. Dave recently joined the Land Conservancy Board to help further its mission of ensuring that our special places will be around for future generations.
Dave is an attorney who specializes in real estate transactions and litigation, land use planning and business advising and litigation. He currently manages the San Luis Obispo office of McCormick Barstow, and previously served as managing partner of local law firm Sinsheimer Juhnke McIvor & Stroh which merged with McCormick Barstow in January 2019.
Dave has been an involved member of the business community for many years, serving on and chairing the boards of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce and Economic Vitality Corporation. He also has been been heavily involved in the non-profit community, serving as a board member and chair of many local non-profits including RISE, YMCA, Literacy Council and Red Cross. Dave is an active member and past President of San Luis Obispo Rotary de Tolosa.
Dave is a graduate of Stanford University and UCLA Law School. He lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife Sharon, and is the proud father of twin boys who were raised on the Central Coast and currently live and work in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
