A fourth generation native of San Luis Obispo, Carrisa grew up on the same property where the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo’s Octagon Barn Center now sits.  Being raised on a working cattle ranch she was taught at a very early age the importance of being stewards of the land.  She attended Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo where she earned her degree in Recreation, Parks & Tourism Administration.

After graduation, Carrisa moved to New York City where she worked in finance for nine years before returning home to California.  Upon her return, she went back to her agricultural roots and is currently involved in the wine industry where she educates and advocates for our local wines.

Carrisa and her husband Evan, also a native of San Luis Obispo, now live in the hills of Avila Beach with their dog.  They both have a great deal of love and respect for their hometown and all of it’s natural beauty.
